It’s election season and you didn’t even know it. Our local trails run on more than shovels and rakes. It takes conference calls, record keeping, skills instruction, group management, route flagging, ad creation, party planning… the list goes on. Put your skills and passion to work for Spokane mountain biking, we’d love your help. Here’s a brief, non-exhaustive, description of each role. Please fill out our simple application and submit it by the 19th of December so we have time to review them before elections on the 7th of January. We meet monthly and expect your participation at a few of our events.

Job Description
     
President   The chief executive responsible for meeting club goals through leadership, delegation and direct action. Is also on the board of EMBA which holds monthly conference calls and occasional West-side meetings.
     
Vice President   Alternate executive when the president is unavailable.
     
Financial Officer   Coordinates financial transaction records with EMBA and is one of the signatories on our local bank accounts.
     
Secretary   Responsible for taking meeting notes.
     
Education Director   Leads the education program. Hires volunteer instructors when needed. Handles scheduling, communication, registration and curriculum for skills classes.
     
Outreach   Pursues opportunities for community involvement with the club. Seeks donations for fundraisers. Newsletter creation.
     
Volunteer Coordinator   Point of contact and coordination for groups and individuals wishing to volunteer with the club.
     
Trail Boss (2)   Manages trail work for a given location. Works with the Volunteer Coordinator to get the right volunteers to the right projects.
     
Media Manager   Primary generator of media updates (Facebook, EE.org, OutThereMonthly, etc.). Graphics creation and management.
     
At Large (2)   Actively supports the club with personal knowledge and action.
