These trails are up for potential loss as designated wilderness. It is more important than ever that you explore them a) because they are amazing and b) so you know what we are talking about when we ask you to write letters, go to meetings, and support keeping trails open for mountain biking.

Hosting fellow riders for the weekend is one way we have of introducing you to what we have just a few miles from Spokane.

Piecing together Rocks for a Long Lasting Backcountry Trail.

 

Evergreen West and Evergreen East are hosting riders from all over for 5 days of riding, trail building, riding, socializing, making friends, exploring, riding, camping and more in Colville National Forest.  This  is a chance to explore the amazing Kettle Crest trails with new and old friends. These world class trails deserve to be ridden by YOU.  Your Evergreen hosts will be leading one day of trail work with the USFS, and four days of assorted rides throughout the long weekend.

Tentative schedule is as follows:

  • Wednesday July 13 Jungle Hill
  • Thursday, July 14, Abercrombie Mt. or Copper Butter
  • Friday, July 15, trail work with Evergreen’s pro builders and USFS leading cvolunteer work crews. You will get to work side by side with the best.
  • Saturday, July 16, Copper Butte or Abercrombie Mt.
  • Sunday, July 17, Snow Peak trail

What to bring:

  • All the goodies you bring to bike, car camp, and celebrate for several days!
  • Water, ice, bug spray, sunscreen
  • Bathing suit – the swimming holes are awesome!
  • Food and beverages

What will be provided:

  • Free camping at Jungle Hill Campground (pit toilet, no potable water, creek)
  • Rough plans for group rides
  • Plans and tools for the Friday trailwork day w/ apres beverages from 2 Beers Brewing!
  • Snacks from our pals at Clif Bar

Camping is FREE at Jungle Hill campground, off Albion Hill Rd on the way to Sherman Pass.  We have the entire campground reserved for the week. This is a primitive site with tables and vault toilets, but no water or hookups.
