Trail Revisions at Camp Sekani in Spokane
As members of Evergreen East we love our local trails — both maintaining and building new ones. We’re absolutely thrilled about the new additions coming to Camp Sekani & Beacon Hill over the next few months and we think you’ll love them too.

Sometimes trails need to be closed too — even if it isn’t our favorite activity. The agreements that allows us to steward the rich multi-use trails at Camp Sekani and Beacon Hill occasionally require us to decommission a portion of trail as new ones comes to life. Trails are closed for other reasons such as; braiding, un-sustainability, concerns for safety, and unauthorized trail building.

The awesome trail network at Camp Sekani & Beacon Hill is only possible because generous owners continue to allow access to their private property. Unauthorized building critically jeopardizes access and could lead to permanent closures for all Spokane trail users.

This is not an indictment, but a heartfelt request to help protect these valuable resources by not building unauthorized trails or reopening sections that have been closed. The image above displays, in yellow, areas that will be decommissioned in the following months. We’d love to hear your questions and welcome you to get involved building with us. Thank you,
Evergreen East
