We need EVERYONE who loves mountain biking at Beacon to share this message and do their part.

Without further ado, we have been cracking on this for 15 years… advocating, going to countless meetings, talking with landowners, working earnestly with key partners and have made a lot of progress. We are at a tipping point right now and need your help!

This is the first comprehensive and concrete plan to acquire key parcels on Beacon with the help and the collaboration of private landowners, Spokane Parks and Recreation, Spokane County Parks, Recreation & Golf, and the Inland Northwest Land Conservancy.

Our three main goals with this plan are to;

  1. Conserve land that contains a portion (the top) of Beacon Hill’s Downhill Mountain Bike Course.
  2. Conserve land that contains much of the core of Beacon Hill’s cross-country trail system between Camp Sekani, Esmeralda Golf Course, Minnehaha Park, and Shields Park.
  3. Create through acquisition a block of properties which collectively may serve as a single large park
    How can you help?

Evergreen East has pledged $15,000 in matching funds in order to make the RCO grants maximally competitive. We are confident in our potential success at landing these grants, but we need your help in order to demonstrate that preserving Beacon Hill is enthusiastically supported by the community, please donate today.
